Under the current climate of Covid-19, we are extra careful in planning your wedding or event. Not to worry, Special Event Genie® has done comprehensive research into what is necessary to protect you, your guests and your participants. You CAN have peace of mind knowing Special Event Genie® has your back during this pandemic!
As full-service wedding planners, we suggest the following scenario for your event or wedding day. Of course, it may change somewhat depending on any new local mandates in effect by your celebration date. But not to worry, we can quickly adjust the landscape to accommodate any new requirements! Our vision for your wedding or event is as follows:
1) ALL VENDORS ENTERING THE PROPERTY:
All vendors, including our staff, coming onsite will be instructed to bring masks & disposable gloves. However, if they neglect to do so, we’ll have sufficient on hand for them. During your wedding or event, it may be difficult for the DJ or musicians to do their job effectively wearing a mask. Therefore, we’ll set them up at least 10 feet away from everyone.
2) THE VENUE:
All entry areas including doorknobs and handles, all rest rooms, railings, chairs and any other areas your guests might touch, will be sterilized by our staff. We’ll bring the disinfectant. Also, we’ll arrive at least one hour earlier than our original start time to accomplish these tasks.
3) HAIR & MAKE UP:
Special Event Genie® suggests two rooms be set aside for the woman’s wedding party’s chamber. This way, one person will get her make-up and hair done in Room #1 while all the other wedding party members wait in Room #2. After each person finishes, our team or the make-up/hair artist will sterilize the chair and counter. A new set of brushes, applicators and sponges will be used for each new person.
4) AS GUESTS ENTER THE PROPERTY:
As each guest enters the property, they’ll be checked for masks. If any guest isn’t wearing a mask, not to worry, we’ll have plenty of extra on hand. All persons entering will have their temperature taken immediately upon arrival. We’ll also have hand sanitizer for their use. Then, they’ll be directed to your event location, walking six feet apart. (This may be a rule in order for us to have a gathering with more than 10 guests.) Guests should not be required to wear gloves unless they choose to. (Note: if you want custom printed face masks, we have a vendor for you.)
5) GUEST LIST:
We’ll check in all guests from this master list. Once you’ve received all your RSVP’s, we’ll assign seating for both the ceremony and the reception so that family members and those living under the same roof are sitting at the same table. Our site maps will show each individual sitting six feet apart.
