PART 3 – PLANNING WEDDINGS & EVENTS DURING COVID-19

These days due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we must take extra precautions in planning your wedding or event. After over 16 years in business, Special Event Genie® has the skill to implement these requirements to protect you… your guests… and your participants. We are here to celebrate the times of your life and work as well as give you peace of mind in knowing that you’re protected during these trying times.

To review, we suggest this scenario for your event or wedding day. Of course, it may change somewhat depending on any new local mandates in effect by your celebration date. But not to worry, we can quickly adjust the landscape to accommodate any new requirements! Our vision for your wedding or event Part 3 is as follows:

12) OUTDOOR RECEPTIONS:

If your reception is outdoors, a coaster for the water glass serves double duty… a lid for sanitation as well as for preventing insects from flying into glass. We can also arrange for a custom printed coaster which will serve as a party favor, designed to match your invitation or theme. The venue will pour water in each glass at the place setting once guests are seated at the table.

13) TABLE SETTINGS:

Special Event Genie® recommends having a little bottle of hand sanitizer at each place setting. This can have customized labeling and serve as a party favor. Tables should not be set with plates or silverware, just napkins, chargers, favors and glassware. The servers will bring utensils to each person once they’re seated. We’ll add ample time to the dinner timeline to allow for this.

14) DANCING:

The happy couple or guests of honor will still be the first and only people on the dance floor. Everyone else will observe from their seat and then the DJ or MC can call out table by table for them to take turns dancing. Or, guests can gather in the corners for large dance floors.

15) RESTROOMS:

A restroom attendant will clean after each guest and open the exit door for them.
